Another stepping stone for Gold Coast’s solar industry is the construction of the world’s largest solar powered footbridge in the heart of the city. The bridge can generate a daily output of 100kWh and average close to 38MWh PA. The Kurilpa Bridge cost approximately $63 million and close to 36,000 people are expected to use the bridge each week.
The Gold Coast Council is dedicated to a better Gold Coast by promoting its Green Heart homes program. The program is Gold Coast’s City Council’s centre for rebates, incentives and practical information to make it easy and affordable to live more sustainably.
