One of our biggest regrets. The salesman told us we would be making money from our system and it would at least cancel out our electricity bills and payment plan. Instead it has cost us much more not only financially but in damage to our house and stress. SUNBURST’s installation did not meet code and the inverter stopped working shortly after installation. They became completely uncontactable after installing our system with disconnected phones and shut down website. In our attempt to contact them we discovered that they had applied to de-register their company on ASIC’s. We were then told by the installers that Sunburst had closed down and now running under STANDARD SOLAR and that we had to contact the manufacturer in China for our warranty (whom it turned out were also uncontactable). After hiring an independent safety inspector and installer to assess our system it was deemed too dangerous and shut down. We made an application to VCAT and it was only then (approx. 6 mths after install) that we were finally contacted by Sunburst Solar and offered repairs. We were also offered a top up F.I.T with our system when we signed up and this was only paid after we won our claim at VCAT. Consumer Affairs published an alert against SUNBURST but unfortunately after we had ‘signed our life away’.

This company have a consumer watchdog alert against them for many reasons with over 60 complaints made to consumer affairs. Beware

We in signed up we sunburst solar in September 2012, and we have nothing but trouble, the installation was a joke the inverter was damaged it took over 6 months before it was feeding into the meter box. We have a 4kw system which we were told would be enough to cover our electricity bills we are still getting a bill from our power company and also paying the panels off,the don't work properly when the sun is out and we are only generating $30 dollar credit per month what a rip off. Don't go sunburst solar.

My System was installed 12 days after my order, the sales guy was really friendly and helped us select the right system for our needs, the fitting only took 5 hours and everyone was really nice to deal with
