Solar Powered Bikini

That’s right! A solar powered bikini that doubles as a charger for anything gadgets or devices that can charge using a USB connection!

This means that you can now charge your smart phones on the beach whilst you too soak up the ultra Violette rays from the sun.

The suit is a regular bikini that has been retrofitted with small photovoltaic film strips sewn together with conductive thread. This hot swimsuit is not meant for serious swimmers, but for sunbathers and loungers. Custom orders are being taken now, and we hear rumours of a male version that uses solar power to keep a beer nice and cool!

Solar powered clothing may not be the most popular trend however the fashion is slowly finding a place in the market. The range of textiles now includes t-shirts, hoodies as well as dresses. Recently, international clothing icon Tommy Hilfiger began designing their wearable solar range and although this did not include a solar powered bikini, the company is expecting that the jackets with flexible film solar stitched to the back will be a hit.
