However, the company failed to disclose numerous critical technical limitations like the battery does not feature blackout protection and cannot supply power to my home during a grid outage. When I requested clarification on this matter, the company’s response was defensive and dismissive. This critical omission of information means the system primarily supports the electricity grid rather than providing the personal energy security I was led to believe I was purchasing. I consider this a deceptive sales practice and a failure to provide a product fit for purpose.

Review on Arise Solar by J E https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/retailers/qld/brisbane-city/arise-solar/#comment-91598 Wed, 29 Apr 2026 02:42:22 +0000 https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/?post_type=company&p=35828#comment-91598 I was booked for installation on March 12. They didn’t show up, didn’t call, and I’ve heard absolutely nothing from them since.

When I signed up and every time I followed up, they kept assuring me it would **definitely** be installed by the end of the month so I could get the government battery rebate. Today I chased them again and they just shrugged it off with “sorry, no spaces left.”

What a complete joke. I turned down multiple other companies weeks ago that could have done it on time, but I trusted Arise Solar because of their repeated guarantees. Now the rebate is gone, I still have no solar system, and they’ve cost me thousands of dollars.

This company is completely unethical and screws over customers without any shame. Total liars. Do not go near them.

Review on Arise Solar by Tsz Chiu Tam https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/retailers/qld/brisbane-city/arise-solar/#comment-91597 Wed, 29 Apr 2026 00:58:58 +0000 https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/?post_type=company&p=35828#comment-91597 I am extremely disappointed with the service and lack of professional accountability at this company.

I originally spoke with a representative named Roger, who explicitly assured me over the phone that my battery installation would be completed before May. Based on this professional assurance, I moved forward with the deposit.

The Issues:

Broken Timeline: I called today only to be told the installation cannot happen until May.

Financial Loss: Because I relied on Roger’s specific timeline, I have now lost my $0.44 solar feed-in tariff. This is a significant ongoing financial hit that I cannot get back.

Dodging Calls: Since the delay was revealed, Roger has stopped answering my calls entirely.

Unprofessional Support: When I explained to another staff member that I am losing money because of the misinformation provided by their team, I was told I “just need to live with it.”

While they offered to refund my deposit, a refund doesn’t cover the long-term loss of the tariff that I was promised I could keep. Offering a refund is the bare minimum—taking responsibility for misleading a customer is where they have failed.

If you deal with them then leave trust at home and only pay when you see everything with your own eyes.
Always double check and if they say comeback and pick something tomorrow then get it from them in writing.

Trying to make solar(pre battery) work. Green solar delivered info without the push. Occasional follow up call to see where i was at and also to deliver new prices .The people are great to deal with and when the opportunity came via the battery rebate green solar worked with me to put together a system that suited my needs at a competitive price .Install was seamless , thanks again to Paul and the team of installers. Highly recommended.

I do t know if I’m being ignored or they are just that busy. Either way, not a great look regarding support.

Review on Solar Chief by Willem Balfoort https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/retailers/nsw/nepean/solar-chief/#comment-91573 Wed, 28 Jan 2026 00:26:09 +0000 https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/?post_type=company&p=37709#comment-91573 I am writing this to warn prospective customers about the complete lack of after-sales support from Solar Chief.

While I was initially satisfied with the product, communication during the process was consistently slow. The timeline from signing the contract on July 11, 2025, to the final installation on October 8, 2025, was significantly longer than promised.

The most concerning issue, however, is that the system has already failed its primary function, i.e., providing backup power during blackouts. I first contacted Solar Chief regarding this formal warranty claim on December 21, 2025. Since then, it has been total “radio silence.” They have ignored every email for over a month and are not answering their phones.

I now have been forced to escalate this matter to NSW Fair Trading, the CEC, etc. to get the service I am legally entitled to.

If you value post-installation reliability and want a company that actually honors its 5-year performance guarantee, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

The response to queries are swift, the communication top-notch and the installers were pleasant to deal with. I hardly do reviews, although am making an exception given the positive experience, with special thanks to Paul M.

Review on Solar Power Nation by Brett Cannings https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/retailers/nsw/strathfield/solar-power-nation/#comment-91569 Thu, 20 Nov 2025 22:18:19 +0000 https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/?post_type=company&p=34551#comment-91569 If you value honesty, reliability, and communication, I urge you to stay far away from this company.
Their team initially confirmed an installation date weeks ago. No one showed, not even a call to let us know that they weren’t coming. Since then, I have been misled on every occasion, repeatedly assured they would follow up, only to be left hanging every time. About 19 emails and phone calls—often ignored or met with inaccurate promises of calling back and even hang-ups It’s impossible to get anyone to respond.

This is not just a scheduling issue. This is a company that disregards its own customers and basic service commitments. If this is how they treat customers before the job is even started, I can only imagine the nightmare if anything ever goes wrong with the install or system.

Do yourself a favour and find another provider that actually values your time, communication, and trust. I wish I had known—don’t make the same mistake I did.

Review on Solar Power Nation by Kim Nguyen https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/retailers/nsw/strathfield/solar-power-nation/#comment-91568 Tue, 11 Nov 2025 09:03:32 +0000 https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/?post_type=company&p=34551#comment-91568 PLEASE STAY AWAY THIS COMPANY IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE A NEXT VICTIM. This only one off service.
I am going to submit the building commission complaint letter to Fair Trade NSW.
For those whom victims of this company please together submit the complaint to Fair Trade to stop this fraud business. It is scam.
I have solar power installed 2 years ago. It was working fine and have no issue with them at all but when the issue happened. I was shocked about this company. They have terrible after sale service. I couldn’t believe as how this company still exist in Australia as so ashamed. I have been waited for 7 weeks still not give me any ETA when the issue will be finalised. I kept calling them and Sarah advised me that she scheduled one of your installer coming to me property on the 25/10/2025 and we stayed home whole day waiting and no one showed up and no explanation.
On the 31/10/2025 I spoke to Hayley.T . She advised me that she will share my contact to Atif will contact me on the weekend and again no one called me.
On the 3/11/2025 Sarah emailed me repeated of what I have been told.
On the 5/11/25 I emailed Hayley asking for advised and have received nothing from her.
I got the local electrician came to my property to check and he found out that main switch for inverter burned out and advised to get replacement cost $250 +GST. I told him I just need a quote to get approval from your company first then I will get back to him but he told me he will charge me double for coming back it means i need to pay $500 plus GST.
So I just have it replaced and discussed with Sarah.T on the next day and she confirmed me that your company won’t process any payment. She told that all installers in your company are fully scheduled for the jobs and she has contacted someone outside her company so get verbal quote of $150 for doing my job but not booked him yet.
I negotiated with her as if it is a case then request your company to pay my local electrician $150 same amount of your quote and I am happy to pay the different but she still rejected it.
And later she emailed me told me that she already scheduled someone coming on Wed but didn’t state which date and not sure as it is going to happen or have a repeat as the 25/10/2025.
I told her if it this the case that we are not followed your company’s rules then I will request my local electrician to take the one have been replace off and put the burned out main switch back as beginning and get someone to come to my property to fix it but still rejected it. She emailed me that the schedule has been cancelled.
There is no issued to be solved and no negotiation to your company.
My solar it will under warranty as workmanship and installation 5+5 years warranty and now I have to get it done on my end and paid out of my pocket.

Review on Solar Power Nation by Russell Fuller https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/retailers/nsw/strathfield/solar-power-nation/#comment-91557 Wed, 24 Sep 2025 07:22:24 +0000 https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/?post_type=company&p=34551#comment-91557 I am sharing my experience as a warning to other homeowners considering Solar Power Nation. My journey with them has ended with a formal consumer complaint to a government regulator to try and get my deposit back.
I signed a contract for a solar and battery installation and paid a deposit in June 2025. The sales process was high-pressure, urging me to sign quickly to lock in pricing before EOFY.
Once the deposit was paid, the company went silent. They failed to meet the installation target date and all contractual deadlines passed without any communication from them.
After I repeatedly pursued them for an update, they eventually confessed in September that they were unable to supply the battery specified in our contract. In that same communication, they offered a full refund of my deposit. I accepted their offer and provided my bank details for the transfer. Despite their admission of failure and their own offer to refund me, they have not returned my deposit. They and are now unlawfully withholding my funds.
This company has proven to be completely unreliable. They took my money based on promises they couldn’t keep and are now refusing to make it right. I have escalated this matter by lodging an official complaint with Consumer and Business Services.
I would strongly recommend looking for a more professional and trustworthy installer.

Review on Ryde Energy by James Phillips https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/retailers/qld/mount-gravatt/ryde-energy/#comment-91556 Tue, 09 Sep 2025 01:22:48 +0000 https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/?post_type=company&p=35803#comment-91556 From 5 Stars to 1 Star – A Deeply Disappointing Experience with Ryde Energy
I’ve previously been one of Ryde Energy’s strongest supporters, leaving multiple 5-star reviews in the past following their previous work. Unfortunately, my most recent experience with them has completely changed my view of the company.

1. Unexplained Delays – After paying my deposit, I waited 10.5 weeks (over 2.5 months) for installation. At no stage was this delay communicated upfront. I later found out the cause was a supply issue on Ryde’s end, but the lack of transparency or proactive communication during that time was unacceptable.

2. Missed Installation Date – After finally being given an installation date, I took a full day off work (and lost a day’s income) to be available, only for Ryde Energy to not show up. When I called, they admitted they had booked the installation for the wrong customer. I requested some form of goodwill gesture or compensation for my lost wages, but this was flatly refused. The Customer Service representative even compared my situation to “taking days off for sick kids,” which was dismissive and completely inappropriate given Ryde’s failure to turn up as contracted.

3. Incorrect Installation – When the battery was eventually installed, it was wired incorrectly. As a result, the battery did not charge for a week until Ryde Energy returned to fix the mistake.

4. Property Damage – During the installation, my home’s brickwork was damaged. I provided photographic evidence and asked Ryde Energy to repair it, but they denied responsibility and dismissed it as “flaking bricks.” I now have to pay for repairs myself.

Overall, this has been a very poor customer experience. I’ve been left out of pocket through lost earnings and property damage, on top of enduring long delays, a missed installation, and incorrect wiring. The lack of accountability and absence of even a basic goodwill gesture only added insult to injury.

Ryde Energy has gone from being a company I once strongly promoted to one I cannot recommend. Overall rating: 1 star.

Review on Solar Chief by Aashik Khan Chowdhury https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/retailers/nsw/nepean/solar-chief/#comment-91555 Wed, 16 Jul 2025 08:46:58 +0000 https://www.australiansolarquotes.com.au/?post_type=company&p=37709#comment-91555 I have attached document from this guys and the picture of installed inverter at my place. Both are different model. Check both attached picture & attachment pdf.

I paid for GW10K-MS-30 and got installed GW9900-MS-30. I did figure it out eventually, when trying to find out whether my inverter is hybrid or not, as I am planning to install a battery. If I don’t research and look out for this, then I would never known this misplaced model. Since it’s been installed, I am losing 100 watt of solar generation per second.

Not expected from the installer that got high feedback and also mentioned in the Solarquotes website. That’s why I did contact you guys.

The one I paid for is latest model compared to the one this guys installed.

This guys even didn’t said anything to me that inverter was different model. It is not a good business practice.

I have paid the amount they offered without any bargain. I should be getting what I have been promised. But instead, this guys give me older version to get rid of older version without letting me know. That is pure unfair business, which will attract fair trading and other legal ways. People can make mistakes but to acknowledge it and own it and fix it with compensation, they become better and good company. My experience getting bitter now.

I have all details and documents and vedio from camera that should be enough evidence for me to go through fair trading.

I did talk and emailed both to Sam, the sales representative who handled my project and the senior manager or owner, Sachin, about my solar inverter model mismatch issue. They refuse to fix the problem and told me that’s how they deal. They show me all the brochures and details for one product and end up giving another product as they think, people will not realise.

Beware of this bad and worst solar company called Solar Chief and stay away from them. They don’t respect and keep their own word.
