Ullrich Aluminium Using the SA Solar Power

In South Australia Ullrich Aluminium, a national leader in aluminium distribution, is doing its part to help the environment by going solar.

Sitting proudly atop the company’s distribution centre in Pooraka, South Australia, is a 29.6kW solar power system.

The system features 235 Energy Matters, two SMA inverters and a mounting system as designed, supplied and installed by Energy Matters.

It is estimated that the Pooraka system will offset 38 tonnes of emissions annually.

The project is the second to be commissioned by Ullrich Aluminium, having had great success when a 30kW commercial solar system was introduced to the Hume plant in 2011.
