Infinity Solar Partners for Affordable Solar Power Systems

Infinity Solar is partnering with Lightleasing Pty Ltd, a solar leasing company of Trina Solar Limited (TSL) for a new leasing scheme that would be made available to residents of Australia in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Competitive Rates

Under the scheme, prospective clients like homeowners and business can install solar power systems without having to pay upfront. The agreement also specifies flexible lease terms, insurance and maintenance.  Also under the scheme, customers will get compensation if the solar power system installed in their houses or businesses under perform.

The scheme offers one of the most competitive rates in the market, where the current rates for solar panel leasing range from 10 to 15 per cent. Flexible loans terms range from as short as seven years to 10 years. After the customer fully pays the loan, he or she will own the system and thus benefit from the savings resulting from lower energy bills. The low loan rates and flexible terms should prompt customers to inquire about solar panel quotes or more specifically, Infinity Solar quotes.

Removing hurdles

Infinity Solar director Chris Thomson said that one of the hurdles to installing solar systems is the upfront payment. People would forego inquiring about solar panel quotes and instead opt for cheaper alternatives like inexpensive operators offering cheaper equipment and installation fees. He added that with the new scheme, more customers will be encouraged to ask for Infinity Solar quotes or try high quality photovoltaic systems.

Thomson also noted that the energy savings that customers will get from using the solar system can cover the monthly loan repayments. He added that solar leasing is becoming more popular in Australia, following the footsteps of the United States and some countries in Europe. “Forty to fifty per cent of new business could come from leasing in the near future,” he said in a statement.

Trina Solar country manager John Susa expressed delight over the launching of the scheme, citing that the pioneering initiative will change the way people perceive solar systems in Australia. “This truly is a new pathway for enabling solar in this country,” he added.
